Adding Fun

From the Artist

Art has been a prominent factor in my life for as long as I can remember.  Even at a young age, color was an important influence in drawings.  At age 7 my most treasured object was a giant shoe box full of crayons. Through the years,  I have been fortunate to have family and friends who have nurtured my aspirations.  These connections with family and friends have empowered me to become the free spirited lady I am today.

While subject matter varies, my style has always reflected bright, strong contrasting colors.
A wide variety of organic and whimsical shapes are carried throughout most of my works as a consistent theme.  Growing up in South Carolina, I spent many summers on the beaches soaking up the sun with sand between my toes.  Ive always appreciated the ocean and all the life thriving inside its deep waters. Squids, crabs and organic sea life are all reccuring presences in many of my works. I enjoy imagining a world so different from our very own, where creatures are capable of adapting to their surroundings so easily, and can freely move about the waters.

Art has always been a positive driving force in my life.  It has shaped my very understanding of life and the importance of human connection.  I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I have the creative process behind them!
